Event Details

What?

The Year 13 Leavers Celebration will give you the chance to celebrate your time in the Sixth Form and say goodbye to the school, your teachers and your peers. 

The event will begin with a drinks reception and will be followed by an awards ceremony and BBQ. There will be lots of photo opportunities, including a photo booth, and other surprises on the day!

We hope that the weather will be on our side however, if it is raining, the event will take place inside in line with Government guidance.

The dress code is smart/casual. Tracksuits and loungewear are not permitted.

When?

The event is taking place on Thursday 1st July 5.00pm-7.00pm. This will be in place of the celebration assembly that was due to take place on Wednesday 23rd June.

The Sydney Russell School, Parsloes Avenue, Dagenham, RM9 5QT

Why?

Sadly, the Government’s announcement regarding the postponement of the easing of restrictions means that the soiree cannot go ahead as originally planned.

After the turbulent time that you have faced, we believe that you deserve to have some way to mark the end of your time at Sixth Form and to celebrate all that you have achieved and felt that a more formal celebration would be more appropriate for this than the one originally planned for Wednesday 23rd June.

Important Information

• Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate plus ones at the event.

• You must take a lateral flow test before coming to the event. You can collect testing kits from the front office if you require one.

• You should bring a face mask with you to the event.

• Alcohol should not be brought onto, or consumed on, the school premises.
